Are you ready??? I hope the excitement bug has bitten and everyone is eagerly anticipating what this year will hold for CJWC! I am equally excited about our new website (
http://cjwc1.tripod.com). A big CJWC thanks to Jean for all her hardwork on the construction of this website and for her dedication to our club!
At our August meeting we really covered a lot of territory. This year we will be working from a budget, and also, there will be a few organizational changes. Each meeting, starting in October, will be hosted by one of our Departments. The Dept. will be responsible for a Project (whether ongoing or one-time) and the Program (can be speaker from outside the Club or a presentation on the Project for that Dept.). The Dept. will also be responsible for the planning of the meeting (i.e. the meeting location, refreshments, Sunshine Gift, and Devotion).
If you have not volunteered for a Dept., please do so as soon as possible. Look on the "Current Members" page of this website, toward the bottom, for Dept. Chairman names, to see who you can help.
Our next meeting will be Monday, Sept. 9 @ 7pm (6:30 for Executive Board), at First Community Bank's Boardroom. This will be an "Open House" type evening, so please invite any prospective members to come with you. We will be having a regular business meeting, so if you cannot attend you must contact an officer to be excused!
Remember, if you have 5 paid provisional members, you could win $100! So, get out there and invite ladies with a willing, volunteer spirit!
